"I'm okay." Sebastian lied, not sure how to feel about someone who seemed genuinely concerned or interested. Not to mention someone who had just helped him instead of jumping on the bandwagon.

It hurt and he had trouble hiding it, but he had his book back and it wasn't as damaged as he'd feared. He held it tight against his chest with his uninjured hand and held out his injured hand without thinking.
