Character's name: Leo Valdez
Character's series: Heroes of Olympus
Character's age: 15
Describe your character in four words or short phrases: Galvanic, comburent, impish, effervescent.
Describe your character's place in their canon in four paragraphs: Later, Leo will be something great. He'll be a powerful son of Hephaestus, a friend, a brother, someone who longs for love. A ship will be built in six months, and he'll have no end of creative ideas to help his friends. He'll be comfortable in a world of greek gods, myths come to life around him.
Now, he's nothing but a runaway. Leo was born in Houston, Texas to a mechanic. He was raised in a traditional Mexican family, living with his mother in her apartment. Though he doesn't know it yet, his life was shaped from the very beginning by warring gods. Hera chose him and shaped his early life, testing his mettle by encouraging him to poke at rattlesnakes, and leaving him to nap in fireplaces. Fortunately for Leo, he's immune to fire. Unfortunately for him, the ancient goddess Gaia provoked him into using his other fire powers at eight years old, which led to the death of his mother in said fire.
Leo's family rejected him, left him to the foster system. It didn't take long for him to leave the first home, which set the pattern. Running was his goal--running away from his ghosts and from his past. The mischievous, outgoing part of his personality became his emotional shield, and when things became too intense, Leo ran.
Don't doubt it--even though Leo hasn't had stable schooling since he was eight, he's smart. He learned math early, and can inhale information if he wants. His attention span tends to be all over the place though--ADHD at its finest, and he always, always has to be moving.
What is their Issue, if you know: Leo's been running for a long, long time. Once you start running, it's hard to stop.
How do you see them developing in this game? At the very least, Leo will get older. Hopefully, he'll mature a little, even learn to accept himself.
